the Fehling's solution and Benedict's solution to test for reducing sugars, also,
it is used to test protein in Biuret test, other uses as chelating agent and
clarifying agent, in the manufacture of other copper salts such as cuprous
chloride, copper chloride, copper pyrophosphate, cuprous oxide, copper
carbonate, copper monoazo dyes such as reactive brilliant blue, reactive
violet, used to produce antifouling paint, used as the main salt and copper
ion additive of full bright acid copper plating, used as mordant and
oxygen-enhancing agent for fine-dyeing cloth.
