chemistry, it is used to study condensed tannins by means of depolymerization,
involved in the synthesis of 2,4,6-Triamino-1,3,5- trinitrobenzene, Trinitrophloroglucinol,
used to prevent hyperhydricity by promoting lignification of shoots, also
been used in PG (phloroglucinol)-sucrose treatments for growth and
development of in vitro derived shoot tips.
